The Boy and the Heron Officially Nominated For Academy Award

Since its premiere, The Boy and the Heron has enjoyed great success, and Miyazaki's formal Academy Award nomination is just the latest recognition of this achievement.

The Boy and the Heron has been a huge success since its release, and its Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature is its newest honor.

The film won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature and was the first non-English film to do so, making it Studio Ghibli's largest release in almost a decade.

The Boy and the Heron has indisputable success and could go even further. The Boy and the Heron is one of five Best Animated Feature nominees for the 96th Academy Awards.

This is Hayao Miyazaki's 4th Best Animated Feature nomination and Studio Ghibli's 7th overall, and The Boy and the Heron has a good chance of winning against heavy competition.

Please nominate The Boy and the Heron for Best Animated Film. Hayao Miyazaki's first picture in a decade, The Boy and the Heron, has Studio Ghibli's best graphics and most moving plot.

Oscar-free Oddly, 2023's biggest animated hit. Best Animated Feature nomination may hurt Boy and Heron. When Robot Dreams left Europe in 2024, Nimona was popular.

The Boy and the Heron may also have an advantage over Disney and Pixar, as Elemental, despite its movie office success, earned less accolades than other Pixar nominees.

The toughest competition will be Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It follows Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and has earned rave reviews for its story and animation.

Critics say Across the Spider-Verse's story resembles the first half, which could hamper it. Whatever happens at the 96th Academy Awards, The Boy and the Heron deserves a nomination.
