All the elements of a steak and cheese sandwich are in these croissants, making them the perfect lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS

– ½ large white onion, thinly sliced– ½ large green pepper, thinly sliced– 2 tsp minced garlic– ½ tsp salt– ¼ tsp black pepper– ½ lb. thinly sliced rib-eye or skirt steak– 6 slices sharp cheddar, American, or provolone cheese– 2 croissants, lightly toasted
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1

Cook olive oil on a griddle or saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook onions and peppers for 6 minutes to caramelize onions.
Step 2

Cook and stir garlic, salt, and pepper for 30 seconds. Push veggies to one side of pan.
Step 3

Steak should be no longer pink after breaking it up with two spatulas. Stir in peppers and onions after cooking.
Step 4

Place cheese slices on steak and vegetables and melt. Split steak and veggies between croissants.
