Steak and Cheese Croissants Recipe

All the elements of a steak and cheese sandwich are in these croissants, making them the perfect lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS

━━━━━━━━━━━━

– ½ large white onion, thinly sliced – ½ large green pepper, thinly sliced – 2 tsp minced garlic – ½ tsp salt – ¼ tsp black pepper – ½ lb. thinly sliced rib-eye or skirt steak – 6 slices sharp cheddar, American, or provolone cheese – 2 croissants, lightly toasted

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Cook olive oil on a griddle or saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook onions and peppers for 6 minutes to caramelize onions.

Step 2

Cook and stir garlic, salt, and pepper for 30 seconds. Push veggies to one side of pan.

Step 3

━━━━━━━━━━━

Steak should be no longer pink after breaking it up with two spatulas. Stir in peppers and onions after cooking.

Step 4

━━━━━━━━━━━

Place cheese slices on steak and vegetables and melt. Split steak and veggies between croissants.
