Kale Cheddar Doughnut Egg Sandwiches Recipe

No one can argue with a savory doughnut. Like a bagel, but made in a doughnut pan. I also added kale. Everyone knows kale is healthy and OK anytime.

INGREDIENTS

– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1½ tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp chili powder
– ¼ tsp salt
– 3 Tbsp butter melted
– 2 large egg
– ½ cup buttermilk
– 1 cup finely chopped kale
– ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 4 egg
– 4 slices prosciutto
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, baking soda, chili powder, and salt in a large bowl. Eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter are gently mixed.
Step 2

Add kale and cheddar cheese and mix well. Spray a doughnut pan with oil. Spread batter evenly in pan, filling cavities almost completely.
Step 3
━━━━━━━━━━━
Doughnuts should be golden around the edges and lightly spring back when touched after 11–13 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 4
━━━━━━━━━━━
Cool in pan for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack to finish.
Step 5
━━━━━━━━━━━
In a small skillet sprayed with oil, fry eggs sunny-side up.
Top a doughnut with prosciutto and an egg.
