I received this biscuits and gravy casserole recipe at church lunch. All flavors combine well. Made it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every time I've served it, there are no leftovers.
– cooking spray– 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands!)– 1 (1 pound) bulk pork sausage– 1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided– 6 large egg– ½ cup milk– salt and ground black pepper to taste– 1 ½ cups cold water, or more as needed– 1 (1.5 ounce) package pork gravy mix
Ingredient
Direction
Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Butter a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
1
The bottom of the baking dish that has been prepared should be lined with biscuits.
2
Heat a big skillet on medium-high. Drain and discard fat after browning and crumbling sausage in hot skillet for 5–7 minutes. Cover biscuit layer with meat and 1 cup Cheddar.
3
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper; pour over the layer of cheese.
4
A pot of warm gravy and water. Reduce heat and thicken gravy 1–2 minutes. Need water? Add it. Pour gravy on egg. Cover plate with 1/2 cup Cheddar.
5
Bake for about 30 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the cheese is bubbling and the eggs are fluffy.
