According to reports, Warner Bros. may reboot Harry Potter on TV. Warner Bros.' Max streaming service announced a ten-year Harry Potter remake in April 2018.

The previous movie adaptations ended in 2011, but this new cast will play iconic roles. WBTV and Max are considering several writers to bring Harry Potter back, according to Deadline.

Martha Hillier (The Last Kingdom), Kathleen Jordan (Teenage Bounty Hunters), Tom Moran (The Devil's Hour), and Michael Lesslie are mentioned. This week, the U.K. won the first pitching round in L.A.

Harry Potter fans were divided over the April 2023 TV reboot. Although the original movies starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint often omitted or changed key moments from the books.

Warner Bros.' multi-season Harry Potter show may be more faithful and nuanced than expected. The original movies were a pop culture phenomenon with few equals, but a typical theatrical runtime forced creative twists.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

A rare chance to correct the original movies' omissions, the Harry Potter TV show simplifies key plot points and omits entire characters like the mischievous Hogwarts ghost Peeves.

The new Harry Potter TV series will also have an advantage over movie adaptors. Rowling was writing her final books, so earlier movies couldn't accurately depict the story.

A complete book series is now available to the TV adaptation director.
