Welcome to Yellow Roses Productions Under the umbrella of YELLOW ROSES PRODUCTIONS, Debra Watson wears many hats. She is a PRIVATE ACTING COACH for adults, teens and kids, who are pursuing a professional career. Her specialty is helping actors become more confident with their cold reading skills. Beginning and advanced actors can both benefit from these basic techniques which include character development and script analysis. She teaches specific simple cold reading techniques which enables an actor to go into an audition fully prepared.Learn how to quickly lift your eyes off the page, and connect with the casting director while staying in the moment. The more information you have and knowing how to use that information will help take away your fears when auditioning for a role. By taking the fear out of auditioning, an actor can concentrate on doing the work - creating rich, believeable characters. Twice a month on Tuesday evenings, Debra teaches COLD READING CLASSES. In addition to her teaching skills, Debra is also a writer, producer, director, and singer. She wrote, directed and co-produced the pilot, "CHECKING IT OUT", a 30 minute children's show which was nominated for an INDY CRYSTAL GLOBE award. She is currently editing her documentary, "PROGRESS VS NEIGHBORHOODS". In Austin, Texas, Debra founded two Comedy sketch groups, BEYOND CABLE COMPANY and THE BETTER THAN TV PLAYERS. Along with her fellow actors, she wrote, directed and performed in over 100 shows in various theaters and clubs in Austin. This took place at the same time she was teaching art in public school, where she was a finalist for Teacher of the Year.
