Checking it out is a visually, entertaining, informative thirty minute children's show. Using a news magazine format, there are two Hosts and six on location reporters. Each week the children will be interviewing adults who work in a particular field, whether it be a pilot, an architect, a professional in the film business, a research scientist, or the person who washes windows on a scaffold.

Our objective is to help children become aware of the limitless possibilities when choosing a career, and that within each field there are even more choices. We hope to encourage children to study and work hard as well as give them hope for the future. Not all of our adults have a college degree. Some have multiple degrees, while others may have gone to college for only one or two years. What all of our adults have is life experiences and a determination to succeed. We plan on capturing the audience of young adults by selecting interesting careers, using visual effects, as well as incorporating a bit of sketch comedy whenever possible .The music is specifically composed to keep the pace of the interviews moving.

Our first segment features Bendon O' Dell, Supervisor of SPECIAL EFFECTS UNLIMITED: Caris Turpin, Visual Effects Supervisor for the hit television show, WISHBONE and David B. Holt, Creative Supervisor of the Jim Henson Creature Shop in Burbank, California.
