COLDREADING CLASSES

This is a class which meets twice a month on Tuesday evenings. Debra developed
this class for actors who need to sharpen their cold reading skills and
fine tune their auditioning techniques.
During each class students will participate in a number of exercises to
help the actor become more flexible and find truth in the moment. Group
improvs at the beginning of class help students with focusing and taking
direction. Students will learn simple reading techniques to help them
lift their eyes off the page quickly using one page A/B scenes. Students
will also work on scenes from film and television scripts using the 8
Basic Steps to break down the scene quickly. Each student will work at
least twice during the class.
Debra's goal is to help the actor become more comfortable when auditioning for a role. By learning how to make strong, interesting choices, the actor will feel more confident during the whole audition process. If you commit to the work, you will take yourself to the next level; booking roles and becoming a working actor.
Tuition:
$45.00 per class
OTHER OPTIONS:
Some students prefer to work out weekly one on one with a coach to improve
their cold reading skills. Coaching times are available for weekly workouts
as well as coaching for a specific audition Monday through Friday. Some
Saturdays are available. For private coaching rates , please refer to
